"Lack of good lighting"

About: Shankill Wellbeing and Treatment Centre / Low Vision and Contact Lens Clinic

(as the patient),

My visit to The Shankill Well-being and Treatment Centre was generally a good experience as always.

I was attending the contact lens department, where the staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful during my visit. The appointment went well, and details were carefully explained to me regarding my vision.

I did have a long wait to be seen, but that seems to be the case now on an ongoing basis. My only criticism would be the lack of good lighting to read while in the waiting area - very necessary in an environment where there are short-sighted and low vision patients!

Dear Suzi6,

Thank you for your feedback.I am pleased you were happy with the care you received from our staff.

I apologise for the wait, however clinics are busy and occasionally there can be a delay in appointment times. We appreciate your understanding on this issue.

The facility manager will follow up on the lighting in the main reception area.

Once again many thanks for your feedback.

Mairead Lavery

Sister
