"Staff telling me they need me to do this and that"

About: Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73) / Labour suite Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73) / Maternity Assessment/Triage

(as the patient),

Left it till my contractions were two minutes apart before going to hospital. Felt like staff did not believe me on arrival as I have a high pain threshold. On examination the nurse broke my water and I was rushed to delivery. Baby came very quickly. All I can remember is staff telling me they need me to do this and that. They need me to give blood, they need baby heart monitor on, they need me on my back. Rather then deal with what was happening. I felt like I was being told what to do and like I didn't have a choice.
