"Counsellor was really good at listening"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire / Counselling Team

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Ive never really had counselling before, i felt really vulnerable, like having razor blades all over me.

Dave the counsellor was really good at listening but also getting me to come up with the answers. Its really handy to talk to someone whose not emotionally involved with you. Speaking to a stranger who has good experience of working with addictions has been really helpful.

Ive done 12 weeks and now were having a break and then i will re-sign up after some reflection"

Hi there

Well done taking the risk and sitting with your uncomfortable feelings has really paid off.

You were able to process the material you brought to the sessions, and come up with the answers you needed to support your recovery journey.

Dave and the counselling team wish you every success for the future.

Regards Anne Counselling Lead.
