"Always made to feel at ease and included"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Neonatal

(as a service user),

My son was born 8 weeks early, and taken to neonatal unit. Cannot fault the care at all, at a time when I wasn't sure what the outcome would be, I was reassured and informed of any changes as they came, always made to feel at ease and included in all aspects of my son's care. I can honestly say with the care I now have a happy cheeky little 4 month old who is thriving. No words could ever thank you all enough, each and every one of you, angels 💫

Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous story.

The neonatal journey can be a rollercoaster of emotions and our team aim to not only look after the babies but also support mums and dads through difficult times. They are here to listen to you and have a special skill that makes you feel safe and reassured that everything will be ok. Our unit has a philosophy of family integrated care and it is so important that you feel supported and ready to go home with your baby.

I hope you all enjoy the next stage of your neonatal journey and come back to visit us to see how much your baby boy has grown! We love to see our Neonatal Graduates!

Thank you again for taking the time to reach out to the team-I will make sure your kind words are shared with the neonatal team.

Alison Bartlett
