I’ve experienced ongoing issues with this surgery for a number of years but stuck with it. Rude reception staff that act beyond their responsibilities when interrogating patients and pass on incorrect messages to doctors for referrals, never any appointments and recently has to shut shop because no doctor’s. The staff behave and speak like they don’t want to be there or help patients. Furthermore, I was advised on 11 Feb 2024 that due to my post code being outside of the area (1.5 miles away) I would have to register with a new surgery within 30days. I called the surgery to explain that I was going to be away for 2 weeks followed by private foot surgery that would incapacitate me for a further 2-4 weeks and therefore would find this timescale too short. I was assured that I wouldn’t be removed until I found a new surgery and not to worry. I have just been told today after submitting my monthly repeat prescription that I’m no longer registered and can’t get prescription that is now urgent. I wasn’t offered a temporary/urgent assistance as like a visitor would be given. I was with this surgery for over 20 years and it appears there is no duty of care for patients. This is a bad representation for the NHS however, each surgery is only as efficient as the staff that are managing it….absolutely disgraceful service and should be shut down as it appears they can’t cope with the patient demand!!
"Very disorganised surgery"
