"Amazing nurses on c5"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I am needle phobic and have awful veins. Two amazing nurses helped me, nothing was too much trouble. They took time, gave me respect, understood my phobia, were kind and best of all - they got my blood. One held my hand whilst the other sat on the floor (I do feel bad about that bit, but am grateful!) to get my sample. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness, professionalism and support during this procedure that I found difficult. Some people in the past have had no understanding of needle phobia, but the nurses on c5 do have this and it makes a huge difference. Thank you so much.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent treatment on C5. I was very pleased to see how the staff supported you with your needle phobia and you were able to provide the sample you needed to give. Compassionate care does go a long way so it was lovely to read how the staff supported you in such a professional and understanding way.

I have shared your feedback with the team who have greatly appreciated your kind words.

Kind regards,

Aoife Isherwood.

Patient Experience Team.
