"Staff were so understanding"

About: Outpatients / Prosthesis Clinic

(as the patient),

Had a mastectomy 20 years ago.   Routine scanning recently showed cancer in remaining breast.   A big shock but decided to go for a full mastectomy and removal of reconstructed breast.   The staff were so understanding and supportive of my decision.   I am now the other side and  just received my prosthesis breasts.   With the support of charities and care the whole experience has been very uplifting.

Good morning Happybreasts

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to the team on your positive experience during what must have been an exceptionally challenging time for you, especially after going through your first mastectomy and reconstruction 20 years ago.

It was a delight to hear you found the staff so understanding and supportive when you were faced with making your decisions around treatment, and I will make sure your comments are shared with the wider team.

I wish you well in your recovery.

Best Wishes

Alice Ritchie
