"Saving lives and treating with dignity 🌟"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Cardiology (Ward 4)

(as a relative),

My father in law was admitted to ward 4, 10 weeks ago where we received the most distressing news regarding his condition and future.

The staff looked after us but above all cared for him and ultimately saved his life. From the porters to the cleaning staff and support staff to the doctors and nurses.

Each member of ward 4 created a friendly and caring environment but above all professionalism beyond words. Our family had the most traumatic time and if not for the staff I believe it could have been utterly devastating.

Each member of staff go above and beyond for each patient in the ward and treat each with dignity and respect which was endearing to observe.

The ward was spotless and calm at all times and all precautions taken carefully for every patient. If I was to pay for care it would be exactly to the standard of ward 4.

During difficult times for the NHS I sincerely thank every member of staff in the ward for the absolute dedication and commitment to the job they do. I could mention every name but I won’t as the list is too long but well done and you should all be very proud of the job you do.

Finally if every ward in every hospital adapted this passion the stories would be a delight to read. Thank you ward 4 🌟

Dear Mcardle family,

Thank you for sharing you and your dads experience of University Hospital Wishaw, Cardiology.

How frightening a time this must have been for you all! I am so pleased to hear that you were all supported excellently and that the staff went above and beyond for your dad, ultimately saving his life! Your story is a beautiful example of person centred care at its best and I am glad I have been able to read this.

I look forward to passing on your kind words to each and every member of staff in the department who I am sure will appreciate the recognition for their hard work. It is a real boost for staff to be recognised.

I hope your dad is doing well.

Kind Regards,

Jenni
