"Exceptional care"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a parent/guardian),

My son fell at school and ended up with a dislocated fracture on his elbow today.  The paramedics were amazing with him and even came to check on him later in their shift in A&E.

The consultant, Dr Macarthy, and nurse Lyn who plastered him quickly and treated him with compassion and humour to make things so much easier for us both, the porters and radiology staff were genuinely caring.

All staff showed the NHS borders values in abundance and should be credited for their exceptional care.

Dear Lp40

Thank you for sharing your story. It must have been a very worrying time so I am glad to read that you are happy with the care recived.

If you would like me to pass on your thanks to the ambulance crew may I ask that you email our Patient Experience Team with your name, Care Opinion name, your son's name and the address and date we attended.

I do hope he is recovering well.

Kindest regards

David
