(as a service user),

I have been receiving care from these teams since 2012, and would like to express my sincere gratitude for the services I have experienced from both teams.

Throughout this period, I have had quite a few different named District Nurses (DNs) but Ruth has been my DN on and off throughout. It all came to a head two weeks ago when I experienced my first full blown UTI, experiencing severe hallucinations and anxiety. At one point, I had six members of staff in my bedroom and I would like to express how well they all handled the situation, especially nurse Susan and the rest of the team.

Everyone who was involved handled me very calmly and I was informed of what was going on at all times by all of them. As this was an extremely stressful situation for me, they couldn’t have been more attentive, handling me with dignity and respect at all times.

We take these services for granted but without healthcare professionals of this standard I would be in a much worse position and cant praise them highly enough.

Annastazia, Thank you so much for sharing your experience of our community nursing team on care opinion. I am so pleased that they were able to support you during a very acute episode of illness and I hope that you are now fully recovered as I am sure this would of been a very stressful time for you.
