"Dealing with kidney stones"

About: Leicester General Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

I was sent to ward 29 by my doctor  due to having kidney stones. I sat and waited  for well over 6 hours before I got called in just for a blood sample, and  was sent back out to wait again 2 hrs later.

I was brought back in, asked a number of questions,  and was told I needed my kidney stone lazed as I would be able to pass it but I will have to wait a few weeks to have this done, why I'm here now.

It's to do with pain pathway they said, but you can take medication between now and then, I said I have asthma and I can't have the medication they suggested, they said you will be fine.

So I've now run out of the medication they gave and can't get any more as my doctor won't give them due to my asthma,  so what do I do now? Back to square one.
