Our Mum of 90 was admitted to the Elderly Medicine Ward 55 in the Langlands Building, QEUH in February. For a good number of years our Mum lived with dementia but, due to other complications, she did not recover and sadly passed away. Throughout her short stay in this ward, the level of care our Mum received was exceptional. The staff really cared and showed so much compassion. We will forever be in their debt for helping to make the last part of our Mum’s life peaceful. We will never forget the team at Ward 55 – particularly Anne, Michelle, Rachel, Peter and Ali – all of whom were extremely supportive towards us and our families. They are all a credit to the NHS.
"The staff were amazing"
