I attended Podiatry Out-patients at QEUH, Glasgow with my teenage son for a procedure on his ingrown toenail.
The receptionist was polite, cheerful and professional. The waiting area was clean with plenty of seats. We were called through to see the podiatrist promptly and on time.
The podiatry team were truly excellent. We were met by Caroline, Nicole and their student Louise. We were instantly put at ease by their cheerful and professional manner. They took their time to explain the treatment options and made sure my son understood all the options fully before gaining his informed consent. Their good natured chat and easy-going humour helped my son relax so he was fully prepared and calm for the procedure.
The procedure itself was performed in a quick, painless and professional manner. Caroline and Nicole talked us through the procedure as they did it so we knew exactly what was happening. Afterwards we were given detailed instructions on aftercare and this was supported by an easy to read patient leaflet.
Overall this was a great example of a well-run, professional and caring service.
