"How I was spoken to by staff"

About: Belfast City Hospital / Outpatients Services

(as a relative),

The receptionist was polite and helpful but the Health Care Assistant was very rude, dismissive, and made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected at my husband's outpatient appointment at Belfast City Hospital.

Dear Distm35,

Firstly as the Service Manager for Outpatients can I take this opportunity to Apologise for the the manner in which you were treated at your Outpatient appointment in the City Hospital.

I would like to take the opportunity to invite you to contact us directly to speak with you and address this issue in a prompt manner.

It is disappointing that Trust staff have acted in this manner and I would like to provide the assurance this will be addressed in a timely fashion.

Please can I invite you to email the following email address and a member of our Senior Management Team will make direct contact with you.

alison.donnelly@belfasttrsut.hscni.net

Once again my sincere apologies and I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards

Alison Donnelly
