"Compassionate and attentive care"

My mum had to be taken as an emergency to the RVH. I would like to highlight the excellent care she received throughout the night in Red Resus by Sarah, one of the staff nurses on duty. Whilst assisting with other emergency patients on a very busy (probably normal) night, Sarah provided compassionate and attentive care to my mum throughout her shift as well as being supportive to me and my sister through a very difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble. 

I was with my mum for almost 24hrs in Red Resus and whilst I know how busy A&E can be, it was an eye opener seeing it in reality. I was so impressed by the entire team as the emergencies kept coming. Everyone kept calm even when faced with verbal abuse and intoxicated patients and staff appeared to know exactly what their role was as patients were being continually triaged to ensure the most urgent case was in the appropriate place and being assessed by the appropriate person.
