"Diagnosis help understanding my body's needs"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Occupational Therapy

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year. At my follow up appointment the next month i was referred to occupational health and had a response within days.

Jean explained what she does and that it was a way to help me cope with all the changes. I felt heard and taken care of in a way that doesn't normally happen. There was loads of information and time and no pressure. This was a huge support for me.

Doing what I do as a business I knew a lot of what Jean was informing me of but was given the push to start putting it into practice again.

I know this is a life long condition and am happy to self refer again if I need to. And know i'll be treated well and won't feel like a burden.
