"Phone first is a good service!"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Daisy Hill Hospital / Male Medical

(as the patient),

I came to Daisy Hill Hospital after I made the phone first call and was taken straight away to ER. Everyone was very good and very professional the doctors worked on me for several hours to try and stabilize my breathing as I have COPD. I was given a little cubicle until a bed became available, and then I was moved to Male Medical.

I have been here a number of days and my treatment has been going slowly but surely, I find that the doctors change from day to day and I end up repeating my history and symptoms day after day, surely these could be read from my notes. In general the nurses are all very good, doing their best while working very long hours. My ward is mixed which I do not have a problem with, the food I do find extremely bland.

I am very grateful and feel lucky that we do have a national health service.
