Following an accident where I injured my right calf, two paramedics came and took me to Bassetlaw Hospital for an X-ray. There proved to be no breaks.
After a few days I received a visit from a member of the Community Therapy, who was very friendly, easy to talk to, clear and helpful. She outlined what they would do regarding my ongoing care. She discussed with me what physical aids could be provided to assist me. I was quite surprised at the visits and care I received in my own home - very helpful as I was unable to walk - both from Community Therapy and my GP.
I was provided with several aids: a walking stick, a water bottle, shower stool and hand rail on some steps to the downstairs toilet.
I consider the care I received throughout was excellent and I am unable to find anything that could have been better.
Three months have passed since the incident and although my leg is still shedding some skin, it is much better and the swelling has almost gone down.
