"Nothing was too much to ask for"

About: North Devon District Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived on Jubilee Ward for left hip replacement. The Health Care Assistants were all brilliant, making sure we were comfortable and that nothing was too much to ask for.

The surgeon (Mr Sims) and anaesthetist made sure everything was clearly explained and the theatre nurse was brilliant as well.

In recovery, the two nurses who looked after me were also brilliant - the warm blanket was amazing!

Even though they aim to have you home the same day, I needed to stay in and at no point felt like I should have gone home. I could not fault the care that I received.

Dear caelumqi49,

Thank you for taking the time to post your response following your recent Left Hip Replacement.

I am pleased to hear that you felt welcomed and that the nursing and theatre staff all made your stay comfortable, and that everything was clearly explained to you by Mr Sims and the anaesthetist. I will pass on your very kind comments to all involved in your care.

May I wish you a continued recovery.

Kind Regards

Julie Pragnell
