"Copper coil removal as a transgender man"

About: Sexual Health Services - South Staffordshire (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

I went to get my copper coil removed today. The staff were very respectful and didn't make me feel out of place because of my identity. Her friendliness eased my nerves and helped me feel comfortable during a process which was triggering for my gender dysphoria. I had an easy and hassle free experience at Stafford sexual health clinic and would recommend it to any trans men who are looking to use the sexual health services here.

Hi Augustet58,

My name is Andrew and I am a Senior Administrator for the Open Clinic and part of my role is to respond to Care Opinion feedback. I would firstly like to thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback which does mean a lot to our team and is an important contribution to learning and service improvement.

I am pleased that you found the nurse who removed your coil respectful due to your identity and she made you feel comfortable. As a Service we welcome all gender identities are non judgemental. 😊

Kind regards,

Andrew Garratt, Senior Administrator
