I have a large post operative abdominal wound, I had the district nurse coming to my home twice a week to change the wound dressing. I initially had a VAC bandage system on discharge from hospital. I was feeling very low and apprehensive about this wound. The nurses Karen, Louise, Laura, & Connie were fantastic about the treatment and encouraging me about how the wound was healing, they had been attending me twice a week.
There was a problem with getting the canisters for the VAC and Karen went above and beyond to get a problem with supply sorted, she also had a backup plan to change to a different system if required. We are truly fortunate to have such experienced, professional and caring nurses looking after us. I thank them for restoring my confidence and assisting with my recovery. Truly grateful
