Our elderly dad became acutely unwell in his own home. Paramedics were dispatched to dads home. Dad was very ill with sepsis. The crew that attended I believe were Kit and Matthew or Martin. They were very professional, efficient, calm and compassionate towards dad and family present.
Dad was transferred to Forth Valley ED department where he sadly passed away a few hours later. The department was so busy with patients in corridors on beds.
Despite the activity dad was placed in a side room and treated with kindness and compassion towards both dad and our family in his final hours.
I understand the challenges currently within the NHS which can often make care delivery very difficult.
Please share our appreciation and experience with both ED and SAS.
