I took CBT phone call once a week for 13 weeks with a therapist called Kathryn. She was very friendly and patient to listen. Her advice was constructive and positive. It gave me a mental tool box I could begin to use to resolve faulty thinking patterns I had from my childhood.
While it's not been easy at all to learn, I have been employing these techniques of thinking and they have proved very helpful in my situation. It's not been easy, but with Kathryn's help and patience, I have learned how to address my feelings and their validity, not only this, but to acknowledge how I feel. So from forming important boundaries and how to deal with even friendly fire, I have come a long way and going forward now that the course has finished, I will continue to strengthen my thought life with constructive and useful thinking that was in line with my Christian values.
This is thanks to Kathryn's help and I am very grateful for her approach to dealing with my sensitivities in social situations.
