"My recent hysterectomy"

About: Maternity care / Obstetric In-patients

(as a service user),

My diagnosis to surgery was efficient. 

There was a delay on the day of my operation, this meant I was in hospital from 7am and did not go into theatre until 1600. This caused further stress and anxiety as my operation was schedualed in for 1100

I had a great surgeon (Ragu) and team were also good. 

Was out the next day.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of attending the Gynaecology service for planned surgery. I am so sorry that there was a delay on the day of surgery which added to your stress and anxiety. Unfortunately, on occasion there are delays that are unavoidable and I am sorry this was your experience.

I am pleased to hear how confident you felt with the surgeon and team looking after you and that your wait from diagnosis to surgery was not extensive.
