After a very difficult experience in the past when having a Gastroscopy I was extremely anxious about my appointment.

I cannot express enough how wonderful Esther and her staff made this visit so much better. From the lovely receptionist on arrival, the wonderful Nurses who booked me in and inserted a cannula at first attempt, I have very difficult veins, to Esther and her theatre staff.

My anxiety was off the scale and my breathing and blood pressure was very high. To have staff listen to you with great care and understanding who took the time calm me down and allow the procedure to be done safely and without any further stress to myself will make any future visits to the Unit so much better. 

This is a template that many other departments in the hospitals should look at. Thank you again to the wonderful staff in the Endoscopy Unit.

Thank you for taking time to feedback those lovely comments about your recent visit to the Regional Endoscopy Unit. From the warm friendly greeting at reception to the nurses at admission. I was so pleased that there was only one attempt at your cannula.

I was delighted to read about the staff taking time to help calm you down and how this helped to reduce your anxiety levels. Making this a very positive visit which made you feel safe and in good hands. How Esther and her team were so professional and understanding during your procedure. Then progressing on to discharge

I will pass on your very kind comments to all the staff and especially those you have mentioned. We will all still be here if you ever need a return visit. Wishing a speedy recovery
