"My experience of pulmonary rehabilitation"

About: Specialist Therapy Services / Mid Notts Cardio-Respiratory Services

(as the patient),

I recently completed my 12 sessions of pulmonary rehabilitation (at Retford Primary Care Centre). A hip Xray (which coincidentally was made on the same day) went some way to explain why walking and the exercise bike often (but not always) caused me pain.

In spite of that I do feel my breathing issues are improved after the course of pulmonary rehabilitation, but this improvement is marginal rather than spectacular ! I'm assuming this means that continued exercise in the same vein will continue to help me.

I have zero confidence in my GP's diagnosis of COPD (and to be honest I don't think their confidence in the diagnosis is much higher!). So with that in mind I might be led to hope that my breathing issues are getting better of their own accord. But of course I accept that the exercise programme will be valuable in its own right, so I intend to continue with the exercises, even though it's not easy at the moment.
