(as the patient),

This evening around 50 patients from all the different male services at Rampton (MH, LD &PD) attended a music event / social event at the main rec hall. This was the first major event of its' type since pre-COVID times.


Everyone present seemed to really enjoy themselves and their was good mixing and communication between the different groups of patients. We saw no arguing or bickering and it looked like everyone seemed very comfortable down there. 


This was a great example of what can be done if there's enough staff available. I think tonight went so well that i'm sure it's going to become a regular event.

Thanks to all the staff who facilitated the event and thanks to the other patients who made the evening such a success. I really felt part of a community.

We can all appreciate how much planning and collaboration it takes to organise an event to this scale! It's kind of you to recognise this and express your thanks to both staff and patients involved within this post.

It's fantastic to hear that patients from 3 care streams came together, networked and enjoyed a shared experience. Hopefully this has set the precedent for future events.
