I had a tooth extraction at the dental access clinic, led by Mark and the dental nurses. Everyone was incredibly friendly and introduced themselves (despite this I can't remember the nurses names, sorry!) and created a relaxed atmosphere. In my pre-consultation all of the risks were explained to me and I felt like I was allowed to make an informed choice and even arranged a follow up to talk through my decision as I was unsure. The actual procedure was brilliant. They were fantastic at getting it done efficiently and minimising my anxiety, they clearly took extra steps to make sure I felt comfortable, including letting me choose some music and hold a stress ball. They were all friendly and personable, and were fantastic at keeping me informed of what they were doing and why, in a way that felt reassuring whilst the procedure was happening. The procedure went well and I was given good aftercare information.
The experience itself just demonstrates the skill, care and kindness these individuals have and they're a credit to the NHS.
