Firstly to my amazing midwives, Emma and Cameron! What a team you both made. I longed for a natural and non medicalised birth and you gave me that, even in my panic when our birth took a wee unexpected twist. I felt safe in your care and Emma was clear on what I had to do to birth my breech boy.

You communicated with me throughout and even when I was scared you were exactly what and who I needed to keep me in moment. You made my feelings validated and advocated for me like I have never experienced.

Your whole team at DMU were so great, even the SCN came to visit us on post natal the next day! I felt my care was made to suit me and my hopes for delivery and I can’t thank you all enough.

Dear BabyC

I wish to congratulate you on the birth of your beautiful new baby boy, I hope you are all settling in well at home and enjoying this lovely time introducing your baby to the family.

I am delighted Emma and Cameron supported you to ensure you felt fully supported and involved in all aspects of your birth journey, even when your birth plan deviated slightly and your baby was born in the breech position, the wider team involved continued to provide individualised care specific to your wishes.

It is paramount to our service, to have assurances, our women and families feel their voice is central to all care provision during their maternity journey, and your experience fulfills our expectations for the standards of care we would wish to achieve

I will be honoured to share your feedback with Emma and Cameron
