"Operation for removal of ganglion on finger"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Arrived at Cannock Chase Hospital for the operation. I was put in a consulting room and told to wait. An hour had passed and no-one came near. Eventually a nurse came to explain I would be seen in due course. I did not expect to wait for another five hours!

Nevertheless the care I had during the operation was first-class and the ganglion was removed successfully. I know you have to wait your turn, but perhaps a little more information would have been helpful. Overall the staff were very good, no complaints, they cope well under pressure. Thank you to everyone there, special thanks to the surgeon after a long day, came to see me before I was discharged.
