"Care was excellent"

About: Cameron Hospital / Recovery & rehabilitation Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Whilst out walking with my wife late last year, I slipped on an icy patch and ruptured both Patella Tendons as well as breaking my right ankle. My wife phoned for an ambulance which came very quickly and I was taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy where I was X Rayed and admitted to Ward 32. My care there was excellent with 2 operations.

I was transferred to Cameron Hospital, Windygates and stayed there around 6 weeks. My stay at Cameron was superb with the care from all the staff from Domestic, Auxiliary, Nurses and Doctors being of the highest order. Nobody wants to be in hospital but having the attention I received made it more than bearable. The food was of a very good standard with lots of drinks on offer. Although Physio was at times painful, I would like to thank the team for all the attention they gave me. Although recovering from this accident will take some time yet, I cannot praise the treatment I received from everybody highly enough.
