Staff all very nice and excellent treatment.
However, before seeing the doctor I had pre-assessment by a nurse.
It seemed like the referral note written by my optician was not looked at which meant a lot of duplicated questions and examinations.
The optician had done a full assessment so I did not see a need to repeat everything again.
Additionally I was given pupil dilating drops which seems to be routine. This was obviously not necessary as my issue was a foreign body on the cornea.
I consequently had blurred vision and mild dizziness for 24 hours.
This seems a waste of resources and time as well as unnecessary minor harm to patients and I would appreciate if this could be reviewed. I understand that drops take time to work which is probably the rationale behind giving to everyone however I think there should be more triage of this.
