"Couldn't have been more supportive"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Neonatal Unit (Special Care Baby Unit) Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as the patient),

Due to my baby girl being on the small side, I had to get induced which didn’t work. The staff on labour ward generally couldn’t have been more supportive, being a nurse myself I felt they showed empathy throughout. Also shout out to the student midwives who were also very supportive.

I ended up having to get an emergency c section where my husband and myself could not fault the team at all, from the theatre manager to the surgeons, to the anaesthetist, to paediatrics.

Due to the baby having breathing difficulties she was taken away for further assistance and help, during this scary time the team kept me very comfortable and calm. The anaesthetist in my opinion went above and beyond to make sure I was okay and provided reassurance throughout.

We would also like to thank the neonatal unit as again treated us and baby with the ultimate care and respect. We felt very comfortable to leave the neonatal during the night knowing she would be in the best care! Overall just wanted to thank the midwives and show some gratitude. So thank you so much!!

Dear LeanneBx

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter, I am so glad all went well with your stay in AMH. Thank you so much for the very positive feedback, I will pass it on to the neonatal team.

Enjoy being a mummy & take care.
