(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had to be seen at minor injuries in Arbroath and a follow up appointment 2 days later, and I cannot express enough how amazing all the staff in the unit are. Everything was explained to my little girl and one of the nurses even spoke her through the steps of dressing a wound so she can complete her brownies first aid badge. No question was a silly question and we were never rushed out the door. Very appreciative of our NHS and the staff too 😊

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your comments on care opinion, it’s very much appreciated. I’m sorry to hear your daughter needed a few trips to the Minor Injuries unit in Arbroath. Hopefully she is feeling much better.

The nursing staff in Minor Injuries know that it can be a very stressful time for children and parents when they are injured and need to attend hospital. Coming into a strange place when we are most vulnerable can be really unsettling and scary. I’m so pleased to read that the nurses made your daughter feel at ease and were able to help her get the first aid brownie badge. We try to ensure that we make a child’s visit to the unit as positive as possible.

I will pass on your lovely story to the nursing staff and we hope your daughter is recovering well at home. Hopefully she will be able to gain lots more badges in the very near future.
