"Prescription out of stock and not delivered"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

Saw GP on a Fri PM for eye problem, given eye gel prescription. Referred to emergency eye clinic. I called them on the Monday, in so much pain over the weekend - appointment booked for the Weds AM. They recommended eye drops (over counter). They improved things a bit, by the Weds improved more - treatment was thorough and I felt confident with advice given. Was then given a prescription for other eye drops - out of stock in Hospital Pharmacy (Lloyds). They said they would get them delivered to me - over a week later - after 2 phone calls - still waiting for them. I will now contact GP to get drops locally if available.

Dear liberatoryb65,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding the Eye Unit.

It is great to hear that you were given good advice and treatment from us, however I am sorry to hear that the medication was unavailable in Lloyds pharmacy, and you continue to have issues with obtaining it.

I will ask if this feedback can be passed on to Lloyds to see if they can assist you further,

Kerry Trembath
