Difficult to access this kind of service for my daughter, age 15.
After contacting a few GP practices to be told they only offer this service once a month and the local sexual health clinic has been shut down is ridiculous.
Fortunately found the Robert Peel offered a service but sadly during school hours so I had to take my daughter out of school to attend - which isn’t good as it’s her GCSE year and revision and schooling is essential.
However we attended and the service was outstanding, the nursing staff were absolutely fantastic, my daughter felt at ease and very comfortable. This service should be extended to more days, and out of school hours offered - the government seem to be promoting unwanted pregnancies as they are not helping the younger generation access a sensible service.
Also the morning after pill service is not easily obtained unless they seek help from a pharmacy at cost of £25 ! Again where are they expected to get this kind of money?
