My partner was recently admitted to CAU in FVRH on two separate occasions due to complications during cancer treatment.
On both occasions we were lucky enough to have Susan, one of the ANPs I believe, looking after us. She very kindly ensured that we were well looked after, and did her best to make our time in the ward as smooth and as quick as possible with my partner having already spent a lot of time in hospital already.
She was very mindful that he was high risk due to his treatment and found us a space to wait to be seen that was quieter. I am also pregnant and she went out her way to ensure I was also comfortable.
She took time to listen to us both, was very person-centered and made sure my partner's needs were met.
I can’t thank her enough for just being such a kind person, for the time she took and the outstanding care my partner received.
