"Staff attitude"

About: Sidwell Street Clinic / Exeter Sexual Health

(as a service user),

Despite a booked appointment, I feel I was spoken to (in front of juniors) by the doctor with incivility as if I was an inconvenience.

I wouldn't feel comfortable or welcome back if there were ongoing issues.

Hi dracong47,

I am really sorry to read that you did not have a good experience during your visit to the Exeter clinic and I am concerned that you felt the clinician treated you unkindly about you during the appointment.

We normally pride ourselves on our high standards of care, and place an emphasis on compassion and inclusivity to everyone who needs our help. I am sad that on this occasion you did not feel this was the case.

I would welcome to speak with you in more detail about what happened, in order to investigate the circumstances, and to be able to provide feedback and training to the staff involved. If you would like to contact me directly to speak in confidence, please email me on: rduh.shexeteradmin@nhs.net

With best wishes,

April Brooks

Lead Nurse
