About: Maternity care (Ward 31) / Maternity care (Ward 31)

(as the patient),

Really disappointed, my appointment was with my Doctor but they took me 2 hours late. I'm am giving birth in 3 weeks and I thought I would bring my toddler to the appointment thinking they would run on time, what an absolute nightmare.

I am well versed in the nice guidelines and consent, even though I am low risk I was told I could not be on the midwife led unit. What happened to consent? Respecting the birth mother's wishes? Where is the choice? How can this be clinically justified.

Very disappointing experience. I spoke to others waiting and apparently this Doctor is known for running 2 hours late but all the other doctors do run on time generally. I feel someone seriously needs to look in to this.
