"Really looked after"

About: General practices in Tayside General Surgery / Urology Surgery (Ward 27) Ninewells Hospital / Acute Surgical Receiving Unit

(as a relative),

My husband was suffering with acute pain. He was first seen at his GP practice who saw him almost immediately. He was then referred to the acute surgical receiving unit. Didn't have to wait too long before he was assessed and seen to by urology,  then he was moved to ward 27 where he received excellent care. Every health professional we were seen by or talked to was fantastic. He was really looked after and I would like to thank everyone involved, from the GP to all at ASRU and ward 27 for the excellent care he received.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a positive experience with us. I will share your feedback with the staff in ASRU who I am sure will be delighted with the recognition of such a high standard of care. I hope that your husband is on the mend and wish both of you well

Dear Wife82

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the swift action from your GP Practice in relation to your husband's referral.

Feedback is very valuable to all areas of the NHS, and I'm sure the practice staff will be pleased to hear that your family's experience there has been positive. Unfortunately, GP practices are not part of Care Opinion at this time, as each GP Practice is an independent business. So that they can see your feedback, we would recommend that you feedback your experience directly to the practice to allow this to be passed on to the staff. The Practice Manager can give you with details of how to provide this feedback to them, as per their Complaints and Feedback Policy.

With best wishes for your husband's ongoing recovery

Victoria Sullivan
