About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as a service user),

I recently gave birth to our beautiful baby girl and I am so grateful to the entire team at FVRH for helping bring her into the world safely. 

In particular, I would like to recognise the wonderful student Midwife who supported us, Caroline. Caroline was just fantastic, supportive and helped create such a peaceful environment that gave me the water birth and calm experience I’d dreamed of. 

Caroline advocated for me when I arrived at maternity triage a second time only a few hours after being sent home for not being in active labour, luckily so as I was all of a sudden 6cm and it was into the pool I went giving birth only 1.5 hours later! 

Caroline will be a fantastic Midwife and I hope this feedback will get back to Caroline and her University team (I have also sent a thank you card :-)) 

The team were clearly rushed off their feet but they made us feel cared for and answered all of our (many as first time parents!) questions. 

We are so grateful for all that you do

Thank you so much for taking time to feedback your recent experience.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl and I hope that you are all settling well as a family.

I am delighted to hear that you had such a positive birth experience and were particularly supported by Caroline. I will ensure this is fed back to her, her university link and also the practice education facilitator who works alongside the students.

We are very proud of our maternity unit and the staff and students who provide care to the families and feedback like this is so important for us all to see.
