Me and my daughter entered the Stobhill minor injury unit for her foot today upon so we we got questioned by the receptionist there. We were asked if we were local and after being asked for the name of my daughter, the receptionist had all our details on the screen and asked questions to confirm them. Due to my accent, I assume, my daughter was asked for her nationality, when we answered with "British" she asked again thinking we mistook what she said. During our 3.5 hour wait, nobody else that entered minor injury were asked these questions about being local or their nationality.
I have lived in Scotland for 25 years but the attitude of receptionist made me feel totally humiliated and upset that such judgemental treatment still exist at NHS services.
"Discrimination"
