I was calling all this morning to make an emergency appointment for both my 2 year old and myself.
My 2 year old developed a mysterious rash over night and I was told to take him to a pharmacy. My experience with pharmacies usually end In being told to make a dr appointment. I myself have an ongoing ear infection that needs medication but I too was denied any form. I don’t mind myself but I feel there is a distinct lack of care from the care centre when it’s impossible to get an emergency appointment for a vulnerable child. Furthermore the receptionist was very rude and did not take into account possible mental health issues or disabilities or emotional states. She said to phone the next day when there was more staff and when I told her I already had prior uncancelable appointments hence why I was ringing today she said that I shouldn’t try to make an appointment if I’m not going to make it and proceeded to drill me that everyone had been ringing since 8 , that they only have 2 doctors in that day and refused to make any form of advance appointment or emergency appointment and after giving me a stern rude and very tactless lecture she promptly hung up as I started to cry.
"Completely fobbed off an infant and rude "
