I attended ED Antrim Area Hospital, Northern Ireland with a very swollen knee.
I used the contact number before I went to ED.
On arrival the receptionist took and confirmed my details and then 10mins later I was called to X-Ray.
Again I waited another 10 mins, was then called for X-ray. The staff in radiology were very friendly and efficient, taking great care to get an accurate X-ray. Upon examination of the X-ray, I was told that I had fractured my left patella. Paula, the nurse, let me see the X-ray and showed me the crack. I had said to her I couldn’t believe my kneecap was fractured!
After applying a Plaster of Paris cast on my leg I went on my way home with crutches.
The attention I received was excellent and I left ED after 1hour & 15minutes.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough. The domestic cleaning the ED reception area was also very pleasant.
