About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Gynaecology (Ward 32)

(as a service user),

I have had abnormal smears for years & through panic I went to a private hospital where I received a cervical biopsy. The whole experience was horrific. Due to this, when I came to my appointment at the RAH, I was so scared and anxious. However, the staff - especially the nurses - were so lovely, warm and caring. I’m so lucky that I didn’t need to get a biopsy this time around but I’m sure if I needed to it would have been a much more pleasant experience.

Dear grusbw36

Thank you so much for finding the time to offer your feedback.

I am so sorry you have had a bad experience in the past, however the RAH team - especially our nursing team - will be delighted to know you found them lovely, warm and caring.

I hope this reassures you for any more gynaecology appointments!

I will share this with the team.

Kind regards,

Nikki Harvey

Interim Lead Nurse Gynaecology/ACS
