"Staff showed great positivity"

About: Addiction services / The Asha Centre

(as a service user),

On admission to ASHA, I was very nervous. I had had a previous visit to look at the place and I felt I wouldn't like it. However, when admitted, I was met by staff at the door and they welcomed me to the facility.

I got to meet the other inpatients and I settled well after this. I could relate to them and they to me. Week by week I felt more and more comfortable, there was continuous group and one to one sessions with staff.

I enjoyed the meditation and mindfulness, and the atmosphere within the ward. Food was lovely and the staff showed great positivity.

If anyone is considering their addictions, I would encourage them to try this place out. You could get another opportunity at life if you do.
