Over the years I have had a few issues with my bowels and attended the hospital to have tests to investigate this and hopefully help me. Katie from the RCDS team contacted me and of course the word cancer can be very concerning but her caring, friendly manner put me at ease.
I attended the hospital for a scan and the staff looked after me with compassion. My goodness the results came back extremely quickly and within days I was given the all clear. Not only were the staff great but Katie explained in detail the process which made the experience a lot less stressful than it could have been. The outcome was good and I have now changed my diet to include more fibre in my diet. I was offered information on lifestyle changes and I am doing that myself to adopt a more healthy diet.
The RCDS initiative is impressive and of course being so quick reduces the time you might sit and worry.
