"We felt their support was an enormous help"

About: Intellectual Developmental Disabilities /Learning Disability Services - Community / Intensive Community Assessment & Treatment Team - ICATT (North & South)

(as a parent/guardian),

Our daughter who lived at home with us became unwell with her mental health 2 years ago and we found this was a struggle for us and we needed some help. ICATT North became involved with helping us to support our daughter.

We felt their support was an enormous help and it was great that we could call at anytime and they would always be there to help.

They provided direct link to psychiatric help and helped us get in touch with the right people to get respite care when we really needed it.

We both felt that due to our age we needed to think about planning for her future and they supported in finding her a forever home which she has now moved into and they supported with the transition to her new home.

They went above and beyond with the support and care they gave to us and our daughter, we wouldn't have known what to do without them.

Thanks so much for this feedback charliekf33.

It's great to hear that ICATT North were such a help to you and your daughter through her mental health struggles, and together you were able to start thinking about her future accommodation needs. We hope she is enjoying her new home.

This feedback has been shared with all of the team.

All the best.

Adam Clifford (Clinical Nurse Specialist in ICATT North)
