I would like to thank everyone involved in the care with my husband. In September 2023 he had a stroke at 45. Normally fit and well he suddenly had a headache and a very obvious right sided weakness. Slurred search and mobility reduced with weakened right side. I called an ambulance which sadly took some time to arrive but when they did they confirmed my fear. Queh hospital were great but communication could have been better especially given that my husband had aphasia and couldn’t tell me what was going on. He is now doing so well and has recovered so well. Our initial assessment by the on call stroke registrar was amazing and started him on the right medications. He showed me the scan and communicate well with me in that moment. I can’t thank him enough for all the help he offered me. Overall I feel that communication needs to improve from consultant to patient/family but overall care was great
