About: Adult Mental Health Services - Community (County) / IPS Future's Positive

(as a service user),

I wanted to go back to work after long time off because of my mental health. In one appointment with my Psiquiatric I mentioned that feel ready to try work again. I was referred to Ann at IPS Higbury Hospital.

In the beginning, I wasn't sure about my decision and for moments I regret it. Ann always motivated me with kind advice and a friendly smile.

My journey started with volunteer work at Health Care Trust in Involvement Hub and meetings about mental services with professionals from the Trust.

I could tell my story how mental health had a impact in my life and the help I  received from NHS. I couldn't be more grateful to all, especially Ann and Louise, who always believed in my potential.

Now, I was offered a job. For one year, I  still going to receive support from IPS Highbury Hospital and Ann and Louise will be working together.

My role is to encourage and help staff to capture, respond and act upon feedback, to work together with patients and carers to improve services and to raise awareness of volunteering and its benefits within the trust.
